Jeffrey A. Aaron received his B.A. from UCLA and his law degree from the Rutgers University School of Law. After passing the California State Bar, he spent two years in business litigation in Los Angeles. He then moved to the San Bernardino Public Defender's Office where he spent the next thirteen years. He was lead counsel in the Death Penalty Defense Unit for six years and was involved in the litigation of numerous high profile death penalty cases. Mr. Aaron was involved in management at the Public Defender's Office, serving as an Interim Supervising Attorney and later as an Interim Chief Deputy Public Defender. He has tried over one hundred and twenty-five cases. For over three years, Mr. Aaron was an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Central District of California (Los Angeles, Santa Ana and Riverside). He is currently a member of the Criminal Justice Act panel for the United States District Court. He has lectured on criminal matters for local defense attorneys, bar associations, and the California Public Defenders Association.
